My name is Frank. I had a few years of hotel experience before I started this bar over 20 years ago, together with Jon. We have tried to create a unique place in a city crowded with bars and cafés. The bar is located in such a locale that its custom comes from both the local neighbourhood as well as from  tourists. You can feel well at home here, wether you are gay, lesbian or straight.

 

I am Lysander, born and raised in the beautiful city of Amsterdam. I am 25 years old , of which I devoted 6 years to Café Mankind.
Currently I study Psychology at the Universtiy of Amsterdam. In my free time you can find me in the dojo, where I practice several martial arts.
I also like to play guitar and I also enjoy hanging out with friends and colleagues.
You can find me at Mankind every Friday and Saturday behind the bar.
 

Hi, my name is Greg.

After years of being a Mankind customer, you'll  find me working 2 day's a week in the kitchen and behind the bar at Café Mankind.    I am a musician by profession, playing cello, keyboards, percussion and I am the conductor of the Utrecht Chamber orchestra "Trajectum".

I am a member of the Singer/Songwriter band “Lee Mason” and we are finalist in the Grote Prijs van Nederland, the largest pop music competition in the Netherlands. I was born in Canada and have lived in Amsterdam now for the past 16 years.

Hi, I'm Filo. I was born in Switzerland but have lived in Amsterdam for many years now. During the winter months, I  escape to a warmer climate but in summer I love the cosiness of Amsterdam so you'll find me  behind the bar of Mankind.

My name is Matthew and I am 24 years old. Aa a new resident of Amsterdam, I enjoy exploring the city, making new friends and get crazy about poffertjes. Origionally from South Africa, I spent the past ten years in the US. Happy to be joining the crew and meeting some interesting characters at café Mankind.
